Hi, Gang I know this question has been asked sveral times over but... I wanted to get a idea of what everyone thinks I have a 72 Cutlass Conv. that has a numbers matching 350 motor. The car is in very good condition but not restored I was think of either beefing up my 350 or going with a 455. This car is a cruiser but I would love to get more power out of my so called muscle car. If you think I should beef up the 350 give me some suggestions on what to do. Here are some of the things I have already done with no real performance enhancements: 4 barrel carb rebuilt, HEI distributor, dual exhaust new coil, plugs and wiresshift kit on 350th trans. Short of installing a new cam and heads I've done a lot. PLS HELP!! dongp@comcast.net

Go ahead and swap out the 350 for a 455. Save the numbers matching motor and trans if you intend on restoring or selling the car. If you are concerned with maintaining the value of the car as a classic all you need to do is save the parts that would be needed to resore the car back to original. Just my two cents.
