Hello Everyone,
Just installed a fan shroud on my 71 cutlass, 350.
Just rotated the fan and found that it rubs on the bottom.
I learned that over the years, the fan shrouds for cutlass tend to shrink.
Any ideas for a solution.

Mine rubbed on the bottom when I got it. The PO had cut out the bottom of the shroud. I found the engine sat high enough not to rub on the new used shroud when I replaced the motor mounts.

 

Engine/trans mounts and/or the radiator installed incorrectly will cause this.
