Remote oil filter adapter

I didn't like the set up with an adapter mounting onto an adapter so I made my own. With the other style the fittings and hoses were very close to the headers.

Well I got it mounted on the car,and it did not leak for the first 3 min.,but after the 403 got a little heat in it,there was a very slight drip

I'll try taking it off and cleaning the surface on the motor with some wax and grease remover .... see if that stops the leak.

If not I'll double O-ring each hole and use high temp O-rings.

How much are you selling them for?

No, seriously You could sell if yours proves reliable.

Where are you relocating the filter to?

Good luck and keep us posted.

I did make a couple xtra are you interested in one of them?

I plan on mounting the filter on the frame just in front of the suspension.

Today I milled off the o-ring lands today, gonna try using a stock type gasket instead of the o-rings.

PM Sent...

Good news.I removed the O-rings from the back and used the factory metal gasket.Used some of the high temp gasket RTV and let it cured over night.

Run the car for 5 + minutes today no leaky

If anyone is interested in one of these shot me a PM

FYI, all 1964-1990 Olds V8 blocks have exactly the same mounting provision for the oil filter adapter.
