Procomp vs. Edelbrock

As these will most likely be on both big and small blocks I decided to post this here.
I now have both heads in my posession. There's no question the Edelbrock casting looks to be of better overall quality but the Procomp is just fine as well.
I traced the cylinder location on both for the flow bench. I never noticed before but the old style chamber spills over past the bore, and that's a 4.155 bore. The new Edelbrock does not. The casting is just inside the bore diameter.
It might be beneficial to notch the bores on a Procomp application.
They should be on a flow bench in a couple of weeks. Both will be done untouched, with their current out of the box valve job. Should be interesting. Any bets?

E-brocks will be better, but will they be better "enough" to justify the added cost? Gonna be close, thanks for doing the test.

I think the Ebrock will win the flow bench wars. The Ebrock at one of the mail order parts stores was listed at $1728 or bare $1336.This is the price for two heads. I have sean on ROP one vender selling Pro Comps that he has gone though for $1400.The way I look at it is that the Ebrock will be $300 more per head.Whats your take on the cost cutlassefi and Jim.

Edelbrocks hands down...just because I own a pair lol! I don't care how the pro-comps perform...I will ALWAYS buy made in the USA over Chinese crap. Yes, I'm the guy that goes to 3 different parts stores looking for a made in the USA thermostat (Stant Superstat btw ) Keep our country working! Buy American!
