Hi Guys,

I found my steering box with fresh fluid on it and it looks like its coming from the hose in the picture. It appears the clamps are missing or broke as I was able to slightly wiggle the hose. Although I know it's caked in crud in the picture, to fix the loose hose, can I replace it with rubber hose and a couple of clamps or does it require a specific hose I have to track down?

I have a bunch of spare 3/8" fuel line laying around and was hoping I could use that but wanted to at lease ask first.

Do not use fuel line - it will swell and fail. You can get power steering fluid / transmission fluid line from the local auto parts store.

One side of the power steering has an assembled hyd hose, no clamps. The other side has hose with some clamps. The hose is available at your local auto parts store.

Is this hose called the power steering return hose? Want to make sure I'm looking for the right part.

X2 yes. You will only get a piece of hose, no fittings. You have to reuse the old one.
