Is it possible to remove oil pan while engine is still in car?
When doing my oil change the other day i noticed that my oil pan is pretty much F*****. It has a small pin hole leak and when i was removing the drain plug i noticed the pan is so weak that it started to bend and buckle. So with that being said I need to replace the pan.
I'm wondering if i can just disconnect the motor mounts, rad hoses, fuel lines ect. and lift the engine just enough to clear the pan. Will this work? I really dont want to have to unbolt the trans and everything else and pull the motor out of the car, Iif i do it that way i wont have a car for couple days.
By the way does anyone know where i can get a oil pan from either on here or somewhere online for cheap? The only one i could find was 60 bucks from summit racing and at the moment funds are tight so i need something cheaper.

I have done this, 350 Olds in a 76 LeMans, had to access the bearings for a quick fix. Watch dist'r capnd dist'r vs firewall. Disconnect as much as necessary. Flex joint sockets help access some of the bolts. You can lift by the front of the engine, but try to leave the crank free to turn to a position favorable to sliding the pan out past it.
$60 Summit... sounds like Chinesium- expect poor fitment.
I'd recommend strongly a good used factory USA-made pan.
Surely some of us pack rats have one handy for not too much $?
Desert SW folks?
Pretty much any SB can donate.

Try eBay for oil pans. I bought my pan on eBay, but I paid $150 for it. I'd be willing to let it go, but for no less than $100.
I think you would be able to do what you said. There is only one crossmember you have to deal with in the swap
