does an edelbrock performer intake have provision in rear of maniforld for heater control valve. i found one used on internet for $100, but from pic on jegs site, doesn't look like port in rear is large enough for valve

not a bag idea, it looks like it does, also found that egr version 3711n only accepts factory carb (prob doesn't clear egr riser)

An Edle carb requires a spacer to work and you still have to cut off the lowest piece of the linkage and use the hole for the spring on the top and pull from the front. I cut mine very neatly and smoothed the cut so it looks fine but those F'n D bags had nothing in their literature stating that their carb doesn't work on their own manifold (they do now). I don't have an EGR hooked up but there is no way to make it work if an EGR is connected. I'm eventually going to scounge up an iron 4 barrel manifold and Q jet. Don't bother changing a 4 barrel iron intake for a crappy edle aluminum (3711). Their RPM I beleive takes the Edle carb but no provision for EGR.
