It is an old aftermarket wheel, I think it's a Grant Classic.

Hey guys! Just a thought I had today: is there any way to install a "forced induction" system on my 68? If so, is there an Olds hood that would work with it? I've heard about the enormous benefits of having extra cold air introduced into the engine, and I thought maybe a forced induction system (like the RAM air induction system) would be a good choice.

Hello everyone! I am going to be doing a compression test on my 68 350. The test is said to have a three digit number (i.e. 100, 105, 160, etc) rather than the compression ratio, which I expected, but what are the factory compression numbers? For example, does a new rocket 350 have say 175 for a cylinder that has "like new" or "new" compression? This way, when I see 100 for example I can know the compression is not good. Thanks!

should be around 140+/-, the last time I did a compression test I ran the motor for 10 minutes, pulled all the plugs, tested each cylinder, turning it over about 5 cycles per test.

Thanks, Lars! Hey, does anyone know if 1968-1972 cutlasses came factory with oil pressure / temp / voltage gauges rather than idiot lights? I would love to replace my idiot lights with a factory gauge set rather than an aftermarket if at all possible. If they did, does anyone know where I can get my hands on it? A junkyard (Although we don't have too many junkyards in our area that have classic cars in them)? Places that sell re-manufactured items? New? Thanks everyone!

The block matches the vin you can see the last six match the numbers on the side of the block. There should be same numbers on the block on the trans as well.
On the th400 it's on drivers side, but I am not sure on the th350 if that's what you have

Oldstata, as far as I know, the transmission is the jetaway 2 speed. As far as the other numbers, what are they telling me? For example, the number on the oil filler tube.

Thanks!

Not positive, but I think the numbers on the fill tub is a Julian date code and the front number by the water pump is a block number the last number indicates SBO while if it was a letter at the end would be a Bbo I think the numbers can indicate a few year span of mold casting
