I am trying to hook up an oil pressure sending unit for my new Autometer gauges but there is a bit of a problem to get it down on the ledge where the stock oil pressure sending goes. I was wondering if there is an alternative unit I could use or if I could just use some brass fittings to extend it up about the ledge about even with the intake.

 

There is a fitting the repro house guys sell. If you don’t care about being original, hardware store parts will get the job done.

Heres my hardwarestore setup works fine

 

A tee and a 45degree elbow on mine worked to allow the auto-meter sender and the original to be used together.
