oil leak

350 Leaks a bit of oil, I always thought it was just from the pan and leaking back but now im starting to think that the leak is coming from the part that the oil filter screws into. Seems to be leaking up closer to the engine and running down the houseing that the oil filter screws into. Is there some tyoe of gasket between this part and the block that could be bad? Perhaps something to tighten?.. Its just tight in there so its hard to see anything.. Theres not much diffrence in the leak when the oils hot or cold..

Any ideas?

Yes there is a gasket between the block and the oil filter adaptor. Only way to check is pull it off and replace the gasket. Also check rear of the intake and rear of the passenger valve cover, it may be leaking from there. Good Luck, hope you solve it.
