Odd 350 Manual Trans Crank?
Hello everyone!
I picked up a very cheap 350 block with a MT crank, MT Flywheel and Z-bar ball stud.
today, i pulled the crank out of the block and having some troubles to identify it. The casting # is 418882, no 'N' on it.
The casting looks different to my 2 other 350 cranks i have lying around (one 'N', one regular cast crank). Here are some pictures:
For comparison with the Nodular AT Crank:
unfortunately, im afraid that this crank had a spun rod bearing, so i doubt i will every use it, im just curious because of the casting differences.
Thanks for some ideas

418xxx is a mid- to late-70s casting number. It wouldn't surprise me to find that this crank originated in a 260 with the T50 five speed, which were the only Olds motors offered with a manual trans in that timeframe. All SBO motors use the same stroke, so cranks interchange (with balancing, of course).

So, in this case i have no problem with the fact that a journal is wiped .
The block is also some different than i ever seen. It has the same 395558 2 casting # than my other 350's, but the 395558 letters are much smaller than on my other (1971) 350.
Good that it was cheap .

Yeah, that looks like the 73 crank I had recently. No answer on here weather it was nodular or not. Also had a spun rod bearing, in the trash it went. They do look more robust than the 76 and later lightweight cranks with smaller counter weights, front especially and a lighter grey colour.
