Octane boost needed for 1956 324ci ?

I just got this '56 88 with a 324ci. Do I need to add an octane boost? Thanks,
Roy

I don't think so. That was not really a high compression engine. You might want to add a lead substiture.

Thanks Krooser. Compression is 9.25 but I'll probably just add a lead substitute and see how that goes.

You probably don't need the lead substitute either.
