OAI air cleaner spring hold down/bracket location

Hello all,
Santa got me the OAI complete set up for my ride. The kit is complete from OPG and came with a factory assembly manual copied page that is not worth $%%^&. Anyway - I have been trying to find 2 things - the location for the retainer spring bracket, guessing it is replacing the original one one the valve cover and... The vacuum port for the flapper. Looks like it tees in with a line at the back of the carb. The car I have has the original QJet/manifold and is a 455. What port is it exactly, at the base, is it off idle and midrange? The illustration is not clear, everything else is pretty obvious unless someone has other advise it would be appreciated
. Thanks

The spring retainer is held by the inner, center valve cover bolt.

The vacuum actuator for the OAI flapper connects to full manifold vacuum. Use the port on the intake behind the carb and put a tee in the existing vacuum hose if needed.

Thank you - I was looking last night and figured I would ask, couldn't find any pics. Figured it out this afternoon - that's what I had figured about the vacuum. Thanks for the information.

Here are some pics I found of my BBO and SBO - first one shows the spring connected on the BBO and the 2nd shows the vacuum line attached for the flapper on the breather but you have to look close to see it. The BBO is about the same location (different type intakes for each) but I don't have any good pics that show it.

Thanks but this really does not help - especially for the vacuum hose - it does not show where it attaches to the engine. That is what I am trying to determine.
Thanks

The vacuum hose goes to the existing elbow in the intake runner behind the carb. On non-O.A.I. cars this hose runs from that elbow directly to the temp sensor on the underside of the air cleaner. On O.A.I. cars there is a plastic tee fitting in this line; one branch goes to that temp sensor, the other to the O.A.I. vacuum motor.
