MSD plug wire part number

Hi, can anyone please tell me the part number for a ready made set of 8.5 mm plug wires for a 1971 350 with HEI? Website doesn’t list it.

not the set where you crimp them yourself.

thanks

Your inquiry may be a little too specific. Factory wires for 1971 SBO would have been 7 mm, IIRC. Also HEI wasn't available until 1975. Try just googling "MSD Superconductor 8.5 HEI" and go to a vendor website and then specify Oldsmobile. You should be able to find custom-fit wires for your application although some trimmage may be necessary depending on how meticulous you are. Otherwise the configuration will be pretty much the same for any 2nd generation Olds V-8.

I just searched, found no spark plug wire sets for the Olds V8. The crimper they include with the Super Conductor set worked really nice. I actually used it putting together my now discontinued but superior Accel 25 ohm per foot 8.8mm Race wires. I had the Superconductor number 1 wire crack twice when I had heating issues with the 403. It literally took fire to burn the Accel wires, let's not go there.

This set should work fine if you want red:

MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Sets 35379

Or this set if you want black:

MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Sets 31363

The good thing is that vendors like Summit Racing will be more than glad to accept a return if you don't like something about them. The spark plug boot end is adjustable based on the angle you want the wires to attach to the plugs.
You can also use looms or wire holders to tie back the slack since these are pre-made lengths.

The 31363 is what I use for big and small blocks. a little long for the small blocks but they can be routed to use up the length ok.
