Melling HV oil pump bolts?
Melling HV oil pump bolts?
Hey all.
Still waiting on my "20480" Moroso oil pan to get done at the powdercoating shop
and I'm looking to start putting together the pick-up to the pump
What size bolts and lenght do I need to connect it. Will just a regular bolts from Home Depot work? I was goiong to use lock washers too. Good idea?

I'm looking to put in the new oil pump this weekend. Does anybody know what bolt size for the pump and pick-up?
Can I re-use the bolts on the oil pump? I'm pretty sure the pick-up is press fit. I'm putting in a bolt on pick up so I'll need to know what size bolts I'll need

IDK I haven't taken the pan off yet.
However the old bolts on the pickup will be a problem, because they are not there. I'm taking out the stock 330 pump and replacing it with a HV Melling oil pump and the pick-up matches the new deeper oil pan I bought

If you're talking about the little bolts that hold the pick up to the pump aren't they just 5/16 x 1/2 inch? I doubt the original pump has that arrangement. It's more than likely pressed into the pump body. You'll have to make a trip to the hardware store, bring the pump with you.
