Mechanic in or near Tulsa familiar with Quadrajets?

Does anyone on the forum know of a mechanic in or near Tulsa, OK who works on Quadrajets? I should have my restomod 1955 Studebaker with the 307 Olds engine on the road later this spring. I can not get the Quadrajet to idle down below 900 rpm. I would think it should be able to idle slower than that. I have diverted my attention away from the engine for the past few months and working on the body for now.
Thank you,
Charlie D.

Before we condemn the carburetor have you looked at the ignition system, specifically the ignition timing? If too far advanced it can cause a high idle speed that the idle speed adjustment can not compensate for. Remember 90% of carburetor issues are ignition system related.

Also, disconnect the throttle linkage to ensure the issue is the carb itself.

A 900 rpm idle in park is fine. But you should be able to go lower, check the linkage and timing as mentioned. Assuming that reman Qjet is built correctly, check for vacuum leaks.
