Manual Crank Specs
Manual Crank Specs
Hi all, I'm rebuilding my engine and want to get the crank machined for a pilot bearing while it's at the machine shop. I intend to put a 4 speed in, in the near future. I need the machining specs for the pilot bearing and snap ring. I have done some digging, but come up empty finding that info. Does anyone have that info or know where to point me to get it. Thanks.
This thread has the spec's on it. I used these to have a crank drilled for a 1965 400 and they worked perfectly. I wouldn't bother trying to do the snap ring. The early crankshafts just had it peened to keep the bearing tight.
