I have an Oldsmobile engine I found in a shop I just bought. Engine code 395558 2. #6 heads. Any info on value or rarity? Has gold paint not sure if that matters. Thanks for any information.

 

Probably a 1970 Oldsmobile 350. They are good motors, just not particularly valuable or rare, especially in unknown condition.

 

The block is a 1968-1976 Olds 350 casting. The second character of the VIN derivative stamp will tell you the exact model year. The no. 6 heads are 1970 only. Valve size will depend on the original application.
