Intake and carb swap

Ok so I have a 1972 cutlass base 350.

Currently a 2 barrel and its warped.

Here's the questions.

I bought a 4 bbl edelbrock performer rpm, and a 1405 edelbrock carburetor.

What will I be needing, if anything to complete the swap, or did I buy the wrong parts.

Please let me know if anyone has done this swap or knows of doing it.

Hi. Others will chime in with more specifics, but you'll definitely be needed a different fuel line from pump to Edelbrock carb. I've seen the braided type fuel line work well with this combo. Oh, and the throttle cable bracket will be different. Not sure, but it might already be included in your carb kit.

The RPM intake isn't needed on a 8.5 to 1 motor, the 2711 or 3711 is a better match. I would return the 1405 carb and pick up the Street Demon 625 cfm carb.

They were bought off eBay so not much I can do u til they get here, I planned on camming my motor which I did research and they said it would be fine to run the intake an carb, but a cam is definitely needed for better performance, I got the parts cheap, and I'm not sure if the carb has the bracket or not, I got the carb for 185 near perfect and the intake for 268, can't complain I guess on the price

Pick up a tuning kit for that carb. I would talk to Cutlassefi, he has custom cams for low compression Olds V8's. I am sure your 350 is in desperate need of a timing chain anyways.

I have an Edelbrock 1405 on an RPM intake....you need a spacer to clear the linkage. It makes no sense, but you do.

So I need a carb spacer? And ok and I will agree I definitely would say my car is in desperate need of a lot, a little bit of everything.

I'm pretty sure I used a 1", 4-hole spacer. Once you get your eBay purchases, put the carb on top of the manifold and try to operate the throttle linkage.

Sorry I can't be specific. I'd go pop the hood and check but my car is away for the winter, about to get another 6" of snow piled on top. Thank God for car covers!
