How Many Intake Manifold Choices for a 1965 330

Will the Performer Olds 350, Edelbrock part #2711 fit a 65 330? How about the Performer RPM #3711? The Summit application guide doesn't show any intakes for the 64-65 330. It shows that they will fit the 66-67 330. Even the Edelbrock website says (1966-85) 307-330-350-403. Is there something different about the 64-65 330? What aftermarket aluminum Small Block Olds intakes will fit a 65 330?

If I recall correct the 2711 will fit I believe that the 3711 is a smog intake (egr) ports and such other should chime in with maybe experience .

Missed One...

Now I see that they do list part #7111 for the 64-67 Olds 330. What are any of you guys using on your 330's?

ALL 330 and 350 Olds motors are exteranlly identical. Any intake that fits one will fit the other. The 1964 330s have the one-year-only shaft-mount rocker arms, but that has no effect on intake mounting.

Edit: The only thing that MIGHT be an issue is accessory bracket mounting. The 1964 motors used one-year-only accessory brackets, and the aftermarket intakes may not have all the correct mounting bosses for the brackets.

Just passing throughand caught this. Good point Joe. I was planning on putting the PS setup from my old 65 VC on my 64 coupe. I had better double check to see if it'll bolt up with no other mods.

Hey Joe, thanks for that information. I was hoping they were the same. When a catalog or manufacture fitment guide doesn't match what I thought was true, it kind of throws me. Good thing I can come to ClassicOldsmobile and ask!

The 64's used a water pump with the inlet on the other side compared to the '65 and later cars... I think if you used the 350 water pump/brackets and a '65-up radiator you'd be OK. But that would be a little more work.
