Hi I'm new!

Hi,
I'm new to this form, I have a built 90 eclipse, I've recently picked up a good condition 54 olds 4dr, she's a behemoth of a ride, i changed out the plugs, (wires and rotor are no where to be found.. maybe someone can help me...) anyway i'm curious, how does the adjustment on the timing work on this beast of a 324... it's the original motor with original tranny (with 130k amazingly enough). If someone could help i'd appreciate it.

Thanks
Joe

Joe,

Hi, and welcome to our site. I am sorry I missed your post earlier, even with the title . Jeesh, I must be blind. Anyway, you might try Fusick or Kanter. They both cater to us Olds enthusiasts. There are a few guys here that own and know how to tune up the older rockets. I am hoping they see your post as well. I hope you enjoy the site.

It's a great forum! although i find it difficult sometimes to find information on this old car. Because afterall, it is an old car, probably the original owner isn't with us anymore hahaha. If anyone has any suggestions on how to find the accelarator pump and fix it, i'd appreciate it.. these carbs are new to me.. but they're old.. Napa doesn't carry the wires, or cap, and the closets O'Rilley's is North Carolina... since i'm in MA, it's a little far... Autozone and Pepboys neither had anything..

Believe it or not, I found a rotor and cap for the straight six in my '48 at Tractor Supply Co. and the coil and points at NAPA. A little searching and you will find them. What about Fusick or Kanter? Didn't they have that stuff?
