I have a 72 Cutlass with the factory SBO 350 Exhaust and was wondering if they made a drivers side exhaust manifold with anything larger than a 2 inch outlet? I need one with a 2 1/4 outlet size as my Pypes downpipe is 2 1/4 and will not seal to the 2 inch manifold outlet on the drivers side. Any suggestions or does someone have a used one laying around? I need something before winter strikes here in New England.

 

I think the thorntons 350 jr has the bigger bore... They are in connetcicut I believe. I used them on my 72 convertible, but have yet to do the exhaust... they bolt up nice.

 

Pretty sure the Thornton aftermarket manifolds would be the only ones. A few places sell them. You could try a donut in between the pipe and manifold otherwise.

 

Has anyone ever had this exact issue? It's $125 for an exhaust shop to weld a 2 inch piece to get it to work. Ridiculous!!!

I would think an exhaust donut would work, but should one buy a 2 or 2.25 inch tapered donut
