Which heads are better out of the heads I have?

I have a 83 cutlass with a olds 350 in it, I pulled the motor with a set of 3a heads. Since I have done my swap a located a El camino with a sbo 350 in it with a set of #8 heads. Would these be a nice upgrade for my 350 or stick with my 3a heads for the time? Ok I know some will ask what are your plans for the car/ motor, a nice an peppy street car.

I have another question I have a friend that has a 71 or70 convertible cutlass that wants to go with a 4bbl carb on his motor. The cutlass came equipped with a 260. What I have is a set of 7a 307 heads and my 307 intake would this be worth it for him? My plans were to charge him total say 70-100 for the heads and intake plus me installing them(he is not the one to work on a car).

Both of these heads have large combustion chambers for reduced compression. I dont know what a 105 hp 260 ci engine would be doing in a cutlass vert I would think it should have a 70 to 71 350 in there. The best thing to do is to get a early 350 head. Hope one of our guru's comes in and helps out.

Post each casting number and we can tell you what you have. As far as the rest I honestly couldn't say what is "best." There are a lot of deciding factors when it comes to swapping components such as heads, cam and the like that may help or may hurt your performance. First and foremost you should do a compression / leak down test and see where you stand with that. Then go from there.

I know its a 260...why its there Idk. Reason I ask about the head swap on the 260. Because I'm unaware if the head bolts are the same and any other details
