Header/ trans Linkage clearance issues

Okay so I have an 86 cutlass supreme with what i believe to be a TH350
problem is the headers that came with the car when installed the C looking attachment that the shift rod connects to on the trans. is hitting the header about an inch before the collector when you pull the gear selector down thus not allowing you to manually downshift past drive.

Is there a solution to this issue without changing headers.
if not what are some good clearing headers for this car. it has an olds 350 in it now.

Thanks for any and all input/opinions

If you cut off the excess rod past the clamping point, will it clear? I have done that before, did the trick.

Unfortunate it is not the rod it is the actual piece thats bolted on tranny the rod goes through it looks like a C and the rod goes through and the cotter key goes through hole in rod.

Thanks for replying look forward to more input

Just beat/dent the header collector, it's better than trying to modify the linkage...
