I got the answer I needed about my engine and it came from an old timer. He did tell me that blocking off the openings on the heads wouldn't be a good idea and the my car would run just fine like they are. Thank God for that. I miss my car. Thanks to all the help I got from here as well, at one point I think someone here told me the samething. I work strange hours so I am not sure. TY to all those who helped me.....now if I can just finde the time to get the rest of the engine done

 

Good. That was the heat crossover passages for pre-heating the manifold under the carb right? I think I remember....
