Fuel pump fitment issue

After rebuilding my engine I was reinstalling the fuel pump I already used on my car. However when I put a new timing set on I used a cloyes double roller. Now the fuel pump arm hits the chain and wont allow the fuel pump to seat properly. Any ideas as to what fuel pump I need.

Just double checking, you are installing the fuel pump with the fittings on top, correct? I'm asking because Oldsmobile is different from some other GM engines.

Haha nope. I didn't remember taking it apart like that last year. I have put in a couple over the years but never upside down.

An electric one. Or a different timing chain.

It went it fine "upside down". I wish I had a picture of it when I disassembled it last year.

Hey Joe,

Any electric fuel pumps that you would recommend above another?
