There is supposed to an issue with the clutch linkage, depending on which manufacturer's headers you buy. Hooker gives these instructions for the modifactions. It does not look too difficult, have a look at the second page. I have never done it myself since I have a 350th.

The only issue you might have is one of the header pipes coming in contact with the z-bar.I know the old Doug Thorley's will clear,and some of the Hooker's will.
I have also been told that if you use a Chevelle z-bar in a Cutlass,it will clear the headers better,but I have never tried this,so I don't know.I did modify one of my z-bars,by moving the fork arm over towards the center,to clear a large set of pipes before.

When you install the left side, you must do the header, starter and cross shaft at the same time it really helps to have three hands and a fourth to start the bolts...
