Edelbrock intake trans hook up






I want to hook my transmission to the new 4 barrel setup what'ss everyone else doing who has done this conversion I'm using a quadrajet carburetor if anyone is wondering.

Any full manifold vacuum port will work.

No I'm talking about the electronic kick down mounting. At the rear driver side.

Oh... You'll have to fab a bracket using the left rear manifold bolts.

Ya that's what I will do I hope the geometry is good when I'm done.

Just make sure its engaged at WOT and the rest should fall into place. You can put adjustment slots to move it forward or back.

Note that your car has TWO switches to operate both the kickdown and the switch pitch torque converter. I assume this is a 1964 with the Jetaway? The WOT switch at the upper left of your photo has three wires and controls both the kickdown and the converter stall speed at WOT. Note the two wires going to the dashpot that mounts in front of the carb. These control the converter stall at idle and low speed - the switch pitch uses high stall at lower engine speeds to increase torque off the line. You need to adapt BOTH switches to your new carb and intake if you want the trans to work properly.

Yes it is homemade. I don't like lifting from intakes but I made this plate so that I could use 8 bolts. However I did not weld the plates together.
