Edelbrock electric choke issues

I have a Edelbrock 650CFM on my 350 Rocket. In the morning after the car has been sitting for 12+ hours I just need to tap the gas twice before starting and the choke it set. It revs higher until I tap the gas to go back to normal idle speeds. My issue is after my first drive every morning (usually about 10 miles to work), I park my car for about 4 hours until its my lunch break. When I start it for the 2nd time of the day since its warmer out the choke does not set and it dies instantly after starting unless I lightly hold down the gas pedal. I find myself quickly throwing it into drive and hitting the gas and then it idles perfectly fine. How do I set the choke when its warmer out? I press the pedal down before starting but it doesnt do anything different.

Either rotate the choke spring housing so that it is more closed when slightly warm or just pump the pedal a few times before starting.

Eric as I mentioned, pumping the pedal after parking makes no difference. How exactly do I rotate the spring

You have loosen the three torx head screws around the plastic housing.

Then rotate to the right or left? Remove the whole cap?

Do not remove the cap and turn it 2 notches to the right.
