edelbrock aluminum intake

hey guys was wondering if anyone has actually installed a factory choke stove into an edelbrock 7111 intake ? mine is in nice shape and wanted to reuse it along with the original quadrajet ,have tried to no avail getting it in there ,is there a trick to it or do i have to get an after market one made speciffically for the intake ? thanks

sorry not sure its a 7111 .performer 350 olds with the port for choke stove

7111 is the Performer RPM. Is that what you have? It'll be cast right into the manifold.

yes the performer wasnt sure of the model number

the last photo is as far as i can get it before it binds terribly .maybe just not meant to accept the original

I installed the original heater tube into a Performer 350 many years ago and I don't recall any issues with the installation. I may have bent the tubes but I don't really remember, so if I did it must not have been a big deal.

Yes you're right after a little bending of the tubes and a few well placed hits with a hammer it got past the tight spot and dropped in .thanks
