Eagle SBO 3.75 Crank
The real question is why haven't you ignored him yet Mark? He's just trolling you, that's it. He is the epitome of "internet troll". Never raises his voice (or in cyber-land, curses) and never directly acknowledges you questions. Forget him.
Simply I disagree with some of what Mark says, if he gets it right I would be the first to say so. One only has to look at this Panos build (ME AND MY LUCK) to understand maybe theres a problem, think about this: you build a 455 with a hyd roller and it makes 397 HP, you then blame this on the carb? Then say its going back on the dyno to test another bigger carb, come on is the customer paying for this........BS.

I actually only read the first page of this entire post...I use my phone to read all these comments so i dont get to view the whole page. Secondly I wasnt kidding I am probably uniformed as to engines and parts today but back in the day no one really chose an olds to win...it was 440's 429's 396's.... I remember the parts were everywhere and cheap not so much with the 429. But 390's were cheap

You see the way i see it is like food. Chevy is mc donalds, ford is burger king and mopar is wendy's. Then you got oldsmobile which is like a fine crafted pub burger. You might pay more but you atleast can say you ate a pub burger and not a grease patty from mc donalds. Btw olds had many winning cars in many diffrent classes. They might not have been as mainstream as the chevy guys but that goes back to how i put it. Everyone knows what mc donalds is but not many know what a five guys burger is. I might pay more for my olds engine but i feel i have a much better engine than a chevy that i can build with parts from the local autozone . Everyone knows what yenko, grand spaulding, and roush are. Not many know who chesrown was or some of the other high performance olds dealers where. Olds and buick did not get the same spot light as alot of the other high perf. cars so most people focus on what got media attention. Atleast thats how i think about it .

First, no he's not paying for the extra dyno time, I am.
Second, I've also replaced the cam on my dime, a different grind from another manufacturer.
So, now it's my turn.
Did you replace the lawn you ruined from pouring gas on it? Or did that 70 year old man have to pay for that himself?
You assume that I don't care, like you, about the results of the builds I do. You're obviously wrong, but of course you'll never admit to that.
I'm done responding to your posts.
