dauntless 225 v6 oil pan

Anyone know where to get a repop? I do not ideally want to count on a used ebay one.

mickie08, I don't know if anything needs to be changed. I could only rely on the info the seller fitment provides. Look up the pan gasket, the oil pump pickup on a parts site to see if they are same and view the picture of the pan to see if it will clear the frame rails.

Please let us know what you find.

Melling does not show a screen for the 225, only for the 231 which tells me something is different. Also appears that there are several different depth pans. That would probably meant the dipsticks are different too ?

I think if I didnt want to change screens etc I would see if I could find a decent used pan. What exactly is wrong with yoours ?

It is leaking and is pretty beat up. Once I take it off I can determine if it is salvaegable but Id prefer to but have anew one on hand. I think ill go ahead and see about just keeping it. Going ot be a PIA to get it out as I have to lioft the engine but worse case, I will try to clean it up and throw on a new gasket and some RTV for insurance.

Be careful with the rtv. It makes matters worse more often than not. Most important is getting the pan rails straight and then not over tightening the bolts. Cork gaskets work remarkably well when installed properly.
