Coolant leakage

So I just saw coolant leaking from my 307. It looks like it's leaking from the passenger side of the engine. What could be the problem?! Thanks. 1985 delta 88 307

Passenger side front or rear? Normally its a hose problem, loose clamp, water pump, etc.

Check the weep hole at the bottom of the water pump, hoses, and clamps. Follow the leak upstream to the source. Inspect the radiator and overflow tank.

A leak from the passenger side rear of a 307 is almost always caused by the heater control valve that screws into the intake at that right rear corner.

In addition to the weep hole of the water pump and the heater control valve, check for seepage at all four corners where the intake manifold meets the heads. Two of the three 307s I've owned have needed a new intake manifold gasket at around 100,000 miles. The old gaskets looked like swiss cheese. And not the good cave-aged gruyere, either.

How big a leak? I've had good luck with that UV dye and a black lamp. Shows the leak even on the dirtiest engine.

Don't make this any harder than it is. Simply feel around on the underside of the diaphragm of the heater control valve and I bet you'll find coolant leaking.
