Clearance issues using 7/16 studs on iron #6 heads

Is it ok to mill rocker for clearance

What lift cam. You can mill the rocker for additional clearance, but shouldnt have to if those are HS Olds rockers.

solid flat tappet 565 lift I have 5003 HS rockers.

Yes you can mill the rocker pads.
looks like you’re poly locks are really close to the rocker at max lift. I’d check underneath to make sure the pushrod isn’t hitting the rocker as well

Holy big solid cam, I figured big by how much the spring was compressed. What are the other motor specs?

355 speedpro flat top pistons, Edelbrock intake, 455 valves, heads and intake ported to match.

It shouldn’t hit there at all, especially with that amount of lift. Are you sure your geometry is correct?

yes we checked it twice riding the valve perfect in the middle.

somethings not right, shouldnt need to clearance those rockers at that lift
