balancer

I was warming up the starfire and herd a strange clunck and shut down to investagate. found my harmonic balancer slapping around. Did I hurt anything ?

probably not. if you were running it hard it could but just starting it and turning it off you should be fine. other than the paint or misc. that it hit before you turned it off.

Thats good to here
it was a real sickening sound to hear it still sounded good at ideal when shut down so i was hoping i didnt mess anything up

i think it is from the rubber drying out and dry roting. then the outside steel will have enough inertia to just break the rubber and slip around till it slides forward or backward and hits something. remember these are getting some age on them and rubber don't like age.

the older they get the more you will see it.

fusick also does rebuilds page 15 179.00. You have to send yours in 3-4 weeks lead time.
