Anyone know what this block number is??

This engine is in an 87 442. I have not seen these numbers on an Olds engine before, they are 4790 GM 5.0L. They are in the same spot as every other Olds engine I have seen which is right in front of the intake. It does look like an Olds engine but I have not seen these numbers for a 307, can someone explain this?

What is the number on the head? 307's I have seen have 5.0L on the oil filler shelf. With the head number we can help you identify the engine a little easier. Most likely it is a 307 however.

The numbers on the head don't matter. The block is a 307 (hence the 5.0L).
