Just wondering if I got it right? Salvage place said he has only seen alternators on Olds , on the left?
What I’m doing is putting a 350 Olds out of a 76 Cutlass into a 53 Ford Pickup for someone else. The engine was brought to me with the alternator and power steering pump on the left. Since this pickup won’t have AC, I want to move the alternator to the right side. Pictures I’ve seen and reading a little bit, is that right, “ if no AC, then the alternator is on the right” ? What do I need to know about brackets, and spacers?
