'64 Olds F85 dash pot question?

Is the dash pot used on the '64 Buick V6 the same as say one used on the '64/'65 Olds 330 or later model Olds 350?

No. The 330 (and Buick 300) used a switch pitch converter in the ST300 trans. The V6 did not. The dashpot for the 330 incorporates an idle switch that activates the high stall speed at idle. This is unique to the 64 and early 65 330s.

Thanks for the quick response. Have a buyer for the part and didn't know if it was something I should keep for sbo 350.
