403 headers

I was looking into headers for my 403. There seems to be some mixed reviews on fitment. What does the community recommend? I am going to be pulling the dog house off, so I thought maybe now is the time to change them. Its for a 72 Cutlass Supreme Convertible.

Its more about what you want to pay... On the cheap end there are a bunch of off shore stainless options, then Hedman and Hooker, all the way to ARH and Kooks. Any sbo header will fit and some may need a bit of persuasion.

If your concern is header manufacturer application notes that claim "don't fit Supremes" or "don't fit convertibles", ignore those. They are urban myths that refuse to die.

My biggest concerns are 1) Full length vs shorty 2) best fitment.

The shortys are going to be a lot easier to install but the full length are going to give you more power. I have a set of Sanderson Shorties if you decide to go that route.

I just installed the Sanderson shorties on my 70 S. The passenger side has a ridiculous amount of room. The driver side was close to the steering shaft but did clear. Underneath a ton of room compared to the G body.
