330 Olds Police cam

I was wondering if anyone here has run the Olds "Police Pursuit" / 442 cam in their 330. I have been having a time trying to find a cam grinder with an affordable 45 degree angle cam. I've found a place with cams for 110.00 !

Specs:

FINAL CAM CHOICE:

Year - Part# - Overlap - Duration - Lift Int./Exh. - Application
1964 387484 - 52 - 278/282 - .430/.432 - 330 Police Pursuit

This is part number 14-220 from Supercars Unlimited.

$109.95 with 15.00 shipping = $124.95

  • Uses common .842 lifters.
  • Should plug and play with factory specs… no shimming and/or mucking about with it.
  • Should create a 300 HP spec engine.

There is also this cam for the same price... the only difference is the overlap...
it's slightly less...

388992 47 278/282 .430/.432 J88 4BC, 330 4BC AT

I figure it should go in and work with minimal
fooling around,as it is a factory type cam...
any thoughts?? I'm looking for a slight cam note from
the exhaust and a bit more performance. This is my
daily driver... Cheers, Mike

It for the most part is a replacement cam. You will have to use NEW lifters with either cam. Do not use old lifters. It will wipe out your cam in a mater of minutes.

I have a '67 so the angle is all different - those are good prices, though
