324 Olds Rocket
Carb and intake for a '56 Olds
The manifold needs to match up with the heads. #7 & #8 heads need '54-'55 intakes and #10 heads need a '56 intake.
Also, be sure that if you are running a Hydramatic that the carb has the necessary linkage.
Check EBay and the H.A.M.B. aka www.jalopyjournal.com and check the classifieds. Hemmings lists some dealers that specialize in those type parts.
Thanks.
Dick

Rebel, the intake came off a '55 engine with #8 heads. It is a 4 barrel intake. It's rough-looking. It needs to be media blasted and painted. Based on N43's info, it doesn't sound like it'll work for you. Sorry.

324 Olds Rocket tech reference
I should have included this link in my post:
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...ht=olds+rocket
If you are building and Olds Rocket, it's worth reading. If the link doesn't work, it's on the H.A.M.B. under Tech Archives.
Thanks.
