307 floating wrist pin

Building a 350, 72, 7a heads, for my 86 cutlass, I also have the original 307 that came out with very low miles. My questions are, does the 307(Vin y) with the roller cam and floating pins used forged rods like the 350? And also would it be possible to use these with aftermarket pistons that use floating pins? I have the stock press in set but slightly scored one of the pin bores (not sure if that matters on pressed pin setup) and got the idea of the floating setup. Searched but couldn't find anything, anyone done this or heard of someone doing it with success? Thanks
