dose any body out there know the differences between a 303 head '49 - '53 and a 324 head '54 - '56? Valve / port size visual difference? casting numbers date codes? Thanks for the help.

From 49 to 55, not a lot. Small ports and valves. 1.75 intakes and 1,43 exhausts. '56 exhaust was increased to 1.57 and ports were enlarged.

I used '56 heads on my last 324. Well worth the extra effort.

No help. I'm a gearhead, not an "investor".
