1989 Olds 307 engine

Hi,

I have a 1989 Cadillac Brougham with the olds 307 engine. Lately I noticed a change in performance.
When engine is cold he drives ok, but once on operating temperature it becomes sluggish, even hesitating when pushing the pedal. Once you push pedal all the way then it picks back up and drops a gear to accelerate.
This weekend I've changed fuel and air filter. I immediately noticed a big difference in performance when engine was cold. It reved much higher before changing gears and was much more responsive/smoother and more performance but once on temperature and you drive the same speed for a while I got the same problem... sluggish, hesitating,... no performance until pedal to the metal. Once you stand still and accelerate, performance is at a decent level...
very strange... any ideas? any help is much appreciated .

Thanks from a Belgian Brougham enthousiast.

bye
