OK finally got it running new plugs wires, radiator, carb rebuilt quadrajet, fuel pump filters, it does have points, the problem Im having is it seems to be missing a bit like the engine shakes to much any suggestions were to start?

Any combination of the above including timing, carb settings, or a myraid of problems!
Start w/ correct wires, look for an unplugged/broken vacuum line, set the timing correctly, check the distributor vacuum canister, set the carb w/a vacuum guage, and see what it is.
Most obvious first!

Does the engine miss occur immediately after the car is started and continue no matter how long the engine runs and warms up nor what you rev it to? If so, I do like the idea of crossed wires.
If your engine won't stay running once started from cold but will stay running once warmed up, you could have a problem with the choke or perhaps an improperly set idle speed. I presume you have the tune-up specs for the car and have properly set the dwell, timing, in Park and in Drive idle speeds, and so forth, and that you did all this with the engine fully warmed up?

You cannot have just one crossed plug wire. If one is wrong, then at least two are wrong, and this would be a serious issue. You really want to double-check this.

You still haven't said if you've actually done a proper tune-up with regard to dwell, timing, idle speed, etc. You also need to make sure the choke is working properly. The fact that your car does not die after warming up but has difficulty staying running when cold suggests a choke problem.
BUT, it could also be improperly set idle speeds. That why you need to do the proper tune-up. There could also be a vacuum leaks.
Check that the plug wires are properly connected.
Do all these things and then get back with us. Until you do, we can't rule anything out, and we end up with are the same suggestions over and over again.
