I came across an all original 1972 442 convertible. This car has been in storage since 1976. It has 22,000 original miles. I purchased from the original owner. I am in the process of restoring this car. Can anyone give general restoration tips and ideas where to locate parts reasonably. Rear Quarter panels rusted, floor pans are perfect, the interior is very good but will have to be replaced because of age and smell. Some rust in the channel in front of the firewall and one spot in the lower passenger dash. The car is complete and all original with no missing parts.
Electric top works but leaking oil. Original tires still on the car but rotten.

Jeff I got your message to me but when I replied back to you I got a message saying that you are not accepting private messages, maybe because you just joined, but to answer your question since I have used, Tamraz,Part Place in Fusick, I did not find out a difference in them as far as quality is concerned . Price is another story. All of my sheet metal came from Tamraz,both quarter panels, the floors both trunk and inside the car one Fender and my rear bumper. Some here have mentioned they have had a problem with THE PARTS PLACE customer service,but I have not, and I have bought many items from them they normally run a 10% discount during Thanksgiving. Fusick is just great really good people to do business with. They might be a little more higher than the other 2 but I still use them. Your will find if you need interior items that Legendary normally runs about a 10-20% discount on their interior in December.

Use Legendary for the interior soft trim. I used all their stuff and liked it. Close to factory as can be had. Their customer service will make sure you are happy with it.
