1966 Cutlass Ultra High Compression Air Cleaner

I would like some comments on the air cleaner on my car. Does it look like the correct air cleaner for a 1966 330 high compression motor. The cover is easy to understand as at points to the front of the car. However the lower plate shows no orientation information. So how should the base be oriented. Filter requirement is AC- A90CW. Air cleaner shows a 6422604, is that the air cleaner part number? I have as yet not purchased more reference material although the 1966 service manual didn't show me much or I just couldn't find it. I would appreciate some comments.
Thanks
Wayne

There's a code on the passengerside, it looks like 8422604. That code can key out what the original application was for the air cleaner. Sorry, I don't have the reference book and don't know enough about 1966's to say what it is, but I'm sure someone here can. John

Whoops! I focused on the pictures before I read your whole post. Yes, that number will confirm what it came on.

The air cleaner looks correct.

the bottle for the window washer fluid is a 65 item not a 66, this car also has a fan shroud for the radiator which is great but has a fixed 4 blade fan. I am pretty sure if it had heavy duty cooling on this car it would have also had a clutch fan.

All looks very nice.

Stan, you are correct. The air cleaner top has "FRONT" embossed on it. The problem is the lower part, it has no markings for "FRONT". There are three what look to be clearance areas. Question is, how do I position the lower part on the carb. What is the proper orientation.
Thanks

How do you know what year the bottle is? So the fan shroud indicates "heavy duty cooling"? What engine application required "heavy duty cooling" (Y76)?

I looked in my 1966 chassis service manual about the HD cooling info. Not anything there about the fan shroud. Fan Blade I.D. chart on page 6K-7 was interesting in that it referred to air conditioning and K19 (A.I.R.) There is nothing on the cowl face that would indicate that this car ever had air conditioning. K19 (A.I.R.) is another story, who knows.
I am more interested on how to properly position the air cleaner body on the carb. I have no way of referencing the part number (6422604) on the air cleaner. that probably would help.
Thanks

It seems that the air cleaner is the correct one. There may be an incorrect decal on it but it will work. Thanks for everybody's help. I still haven't figure out the proper position of the base. That would help just making sure it is not interfering with something. As for the heavy duty cooling shroud I have no idea whether it is correct. It does have a a 4 blade 18" fan.
Thanks for the help.
