?1966? A/C Brackets
Piecing together an A/C kit and can not find the brackets for the compressor. I was wondering if someone has some sitting around they could take a couple of snapshots of or take a couple of shots with them on the vehicle? I figured I will try a couple of the upcoming swap meets, if not off to my buddies machine shop to fab some up, but I have no clue on what they are suppose to look like.
Thanks

If you're going to use an A5 or A6 GM compressor, you can use bracketry from any 1964-76 Olds 330 or 350. Be aware you'll probably have to change to an A/C waterpump since they are different lengths between A/C and non-A/C.
I'd almost go for a modern hang-on unit for that car though. It will still look period correct as most car airconditioning units back then were aftermarket, and I think it would probably perform better than a factory indash system. You may have to fabricate a bracket for a Sanden or York style compressor unit.

Thanks for the info!
That is the way I am going, I am getting the kit from AMC mfg. I just wanted to know about the brackets. They have a "custom" bracket of which is more like a generic blank so that you can position the compressor below the alternator or the power steering, drill the mounting holes and install. Their direct fit bracket is only for an olds w/o power steering because it mounts it in the same spot as the pump.
They have an adapter that they are going to send me with the kit so that an original bracket can be used, if I can find one.
