1964 Olds Cutlass 330 4v

Hi Guys - have a quick question need Correct GM part number for the oil pan Drain Plug on 1964 330 4v (this is the right point RECESSED 8pt Plug) I know it's odd but it's OEM & came w/carThx

It's not odd, it's factory. The factory part number for that plug is 577646, and it was also used on the 61-63 394s in addition to all 64-65 Olds V8s. Unfortunately I suspect you'll be hard pressed to find an NOS one.

A 1/2 inch ratchet or a 1/2 inch drive extension fits right in.

Use the ratchet without the extension. My experience is that an extension will sometimes slip in the recessed plug. There's actually a special 8 point bit tool made for these plugs if you can find one.

Grp 1.453 p/n 577646 oil pan drain plug, 61-63 exc F85, 64-65 all V8. It cost all of 46 cents in Nov 1973 parts book. So, if you can't find one NOS, it can come from another 61-65 engine.
