Cannot View Thumbnail Photos

For the last few days I cannot open and view any photos which are posted as thumbnails including my own, if I click on one I get a dark screen overlaying most of the image but no photo. Multiple clicks do nothing, all I can do is hit the back arrow to get out. I have done the usual, restart the computer, log out and log back in, with no change. No fun viewing without the pics, can someone help?

I've had the same problem with IE, it works ok with Firefox.

This seems to have happened coinciding with the need to now double click the back button every time to navigate - I assume some connection with all the friggin' popup ads now all over the screen. I'm not about to change my browser for this, IE is still the major player and all my other forum sites work fine with it. Can any of the administrators shed some light?

Sent another note to admins after you initially posted. I like IE also but currently the site is almost unusable with it, so I'm using Firefox until it's fixed. I also have the double click problem with the back arrow.

Same problem here.

If you want to see the thumbnail pics right click on them & then select open in a new tab or window & they will open.

Thanks Eric, I didn't see the "Moderator" in your signature. That is a major deal, hope it can be fixed soon.

Thanks Dave, I tried that and it does work but what a hassle for multiple pics, let's hope the admins can fix.

I brought this up a week or so ago to admins. I checked my pc's and they are not infected with any virus's or adware. So I don't know, but I figured more people will complain soon. It is specifically related to IE though. Works fine with other browsers.

Chrome works fine, and is very easy to use. It operates almost identically to IE, and is faster. You can also import your bookmarks from IE if you want. I was an IE user for years and was reluctant to make the change to Chrome, but I would never go back now.

I'm having the same problems as Don. I figured it was because things were recently changed to make viewing better for smart phone users. Why did we have to degrade for one user to make it better for another user?

I can no longer log in on my Blackberry Z10 smart phone. It stopped working about a month ago. Figured it was just me but now I know it is not.

Small thumbnail pics

Well about a week ago...every time I click on a small thumbnail pic it shows up as a semi transparent black screen? Covers half my display...can't view pics
Thanks
Eric

Same problem for me.
I have different issues with some other sites I use, mostly it seems to be the way they are set up and even I can figure out how to navigate my way round them.
But I can't get thumbnails to work, like Don I just get a dark screen.

And me... That double-click to back up is annoying.

Just found that Google Chrome works fine.
A new default setting for me now....

Fyi, we've notified the proper folks about the problem, just waiting to hear back. I've been using Firefox in the meantime with no issues.

I use a photo hosting website and image tag pics so they can be viewed without clicking on thumbnails. More work for me but better for you.

Followup - today everything works fine. I can open thumbnail photos and back up with one click, hopefully it will stay this way. Thanks to whoever fixed it!
